Queen Bee

and the Honeylovers

"Beacham's Curve" is the first single release off our upcoming album, "Asheville". The full album will be released April 27th at Isis Music Hall in West Asheville, NC. . The tune was co-written with one of my oldest friends, Michael Gamble of the Michael Gamble and the Rhythm Serenaders ( ) Our grandfathers used to ride the trolley together as children!

Sweet, sweet Swing

Queen Bee and the Honeylovers is an unabashedly joyful swing band that performs all-original compositions with a dedicated ‘nod’ to the small-jazz-combo and 'hot club' legends who first defined the genre. The Honeylovers hail from Asheville, North Carolina; a Historic township where tradition collides with contemporary innovation to create *brand new* art and culture. Their arrangements are upbeat and nostalgic - with enough ‘sweetness’ for the whole hive. Vocal-driven with an infectious groove, the Honeylovers are guaranteed to put a grin on your face and a tap in your toes.

“Asheville” album debut! April 27th

Our album release party will be at Isis Theater on Saturday, April 27th!

In early October we started recording our first album with Grammy winner Matt Williams at the Eagle Room. Every song is set at a different location in Asheville during the 1920’s-40’s. Five of the tunes were co-written with some of Asheville’s most prolific jazz stars: Michael Gamble, James Posedel, and Steve Karla. Most of the stories were taken directly from my grandparents. Players on the album are Russ Wilson on drums, Trevor Stoia on bass, James Posedel keys, Mattick Frick guitar, Steve Karla guitar, Henry Westmorland trumpet, Eric Heveron-Smith trombone, and Matt Williams on violin. CD release is scheduled for April 27th at the Isis Theater.

We’re gonna be on TV!

Our album isn’t even complete, and it’s already going to be on TV! The amazing Guillermo Silberstein made this awesome remix of Hayes and Hopson to be played on “Southern Charms, New Orleans: Season 2” on Bravo. Drop us a line if you hear it, will ya?
